Yikes! 30 days to Summer Vacation!

Holy Toledo! The boys get out of school 30 days from today!! I gotta get my behind in high gear. I need to finalize our "101 Summer Things to Do 2012" list.

Your what?!?! you ask.

Our "101 Summer Things to Do 2012" list.

Since Daniel started Kindergarten I have created what our family calls "Summer of Fun" or what I like to call "Mommy's Survival Guide to Summer with 3 Kids Under the Age of 10". It started out as a calendar with different activities to do each day in an effort to avoid hearing the dreaded phrase, "I'm bored!" Last summer it involved into "101 Summer Things to Do" This gave me more flexibility on a day to day basis. Some days we didn't get anything on the list done but other days we got to cross off multiple items. I try and keep it free or low cost. For example, "Catch a firefly" "Visit a new beach" "Build a sandcastle" "Watch salt water taffy be made" or "Walk across a covered bridge". The kids and I really enjoyed it and are looking forward to this summer's list. Now if only I could finish my scrapbook from last year's list before we start this year. The photos have been sitting in an album since last September but I need to journal all 101 things we did and I just haven't been able to do it for one reason or another.
